Safety Tips
Statistics show that the older you get, the less likely you are to be a victim of crime. But it still makes sense to take precautions, especially against fraud and con games, which are the greatest crime threats for seniors.
Triad
Triad is a national policing initiative involving law enforcement professionals, older adults, and community groups partnering to reduce criminal victimization of older persons and enhancing the delivery of law enforcement services tho these individuals.
Traid activities attempt to prevent crime, implement education programs, and provide assisstance to older adult victims of crimes. To reduce the fear of crime prevalent among older Americans, Triad also attempts to identify misconceptions and educate older adults about criminal activity. Triad promotes and facilitates ongoing information exchanges between law enforcement and the older adults they serve.
