Court Officers & Security
Transport - These officers are responsible for traveling to different areas around the United States to pick up prisoners who are wanted by our county and transporting prisoners to the state penitentiary, court, or other required places.
Process Servers - Process servers are responsible for many items such as Circuit Court process which includes criminal and civil process over $50,000; Chancery Court process which includes child custody and divorce process and Youth Court and County Court process. This includes all youth court papers and civil process under $50,000. Each of these deputies also provides security for their respective courts and sometimes serve as bailiff.
Court Security - These officers are responsible for manning the metal detectors at the various court buildings. Deputies are responsible for security at the Justice Building while another deputy is responsible for providing security at Justice Court. These officers are also responsible for ensuring the safety of those people who are visiting or working in these buildings.
Bailiffs - These officers are responsible for opening court each day and for ensuring safety within the courtrooms. Officers who work the Justice Building are also responsible for aiding citizens who are serving on Grand Juries.
