The Resolution below was set by the Lee County Board of Supervisors this morning. This Resolution is a guideline and it is strongly recommended. This Resolution is not an enforceable mandate. We will not be using any enforcement action to carry out the recommendations of the Resolution.

RESOLUTION OF THE LEE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS REQUESTING COMPLIANCE WITH THE CENTER FOR DISEASE CONTROL GUIDELINES REGARDING COVID-19.
WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Supervisors, at its March 17, 2020 meeting, declared a state of emergency in light of the Covid-19 health crisis.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Lee County Board of Supervisors hereby commends the citizens of Lee County for all the efforts made thus far to combat this disease. However, there is still more to be done.
THEREFORE, this Board strongly recommends and requests that everyone comply with the guidelines of the Center for Disease Control, including but not limited to, restricting groups to less than ten people, maintaining proper social distancing, traveling for essential purposes only, and washing hands. If someone is sick, stay home. We ask all of our business and industries take the appropriate measures necessary to ensure the health of their employees and customers by following the approved guidelines, including the recommendations of the Mississippi Department of Health for food distribution by either curbside pickup or drive-through and having a plan in place to mitigate any issues.
