On July 1, 2015 the Lee County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to a hold up alarm at First American Bank in Saltillo. the suspect in the robbery was identified as Chris E Cosner. Upon discovery of the suspsect’s identity, the LCSD did a background check and found that Cosner was a convicted sex offender. The LCSD did a compliance check to see if Cosner was registered with the LCSD as a Sex Offender. It was discovered that Cosner was released from MDOC custody on June 15, 2015. It was determined that Cosner had moved from his registered location the day of the robbery and had failed to notify the LCSD of his current address.
