During the early morning hours of April 6, 2019, the gymnasium at Mooreville High School was burglarized. Several items were taken from inside the building as well as from inside a Lee County School District-owned vehicle parked on the property.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Department was notified of the incident and began an investigation. As a result of the investigation, an arrest has been made. Suspect Christopher Allen Gann has been charged with one (1) count of Burglary of a Commercial Building and one (1) count of Burglary of an Automobile.
Suspect Gann is currently being held in the Lee County Sheriff’s Department Detention Facility on numerous other felony counts to include Felony Taking of a Motor Vehicle and Burglary of a Commercial Building by the Lee County Sheriff’s Dept. Suspect Gann is also being investigated by other law enforcement agencies for additional felony offenses.
