On February 12, 2019, the Lee County Sheriff’s Department arrested Bobby Floyd Marion, Jr. for Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon. Marion was convicted in 1986 for multiple felony counts in the state of Mississippi that included Armed Robbery, Aggravated Assault, and several counts of Burglary of a Dwelling. Marion was given a life sentence at the time of conviction but was released from the custody of the MS Department of Corrections and placed on parole in 2007.
Marion has been charged by the Lee Co. Sheriff’s Department for the single count of Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon. His bond was set at $25,000 by Judge Chuck Hopkins in the Lee County Justice Court. Marion also faces misdemeanor narcotic offenses related to his arrest on February 12, 2019.
The investigation is ongoing and will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury.
