Youth Services Division

The Youth Services Division of the Lee County Sheriff’s Department reaches out to the Youth of the community in the hope to offer guidance to help influence the decisions they make in life. This division is comprised of five officers and houses all our School Resource Officers, DARE, school programs, teen driving programs, Interns, Junior Deputy Academies and other youth events/functions.

2017 Summer Day Camps:

Open to students entering 2nd -6th grades in August. (Students entering the 7th grade and attended camp last year CAN apply.

Students do NOT have to attend host school to apply.

  • PEER VOLUNTEERS: If you are going in to at least 10th grade, please fill out a regular app but note VOLUNTEER at the top.
  • ****DO NOT FORGET THAT MOST CAMPS WILL FILL UP WITHIN A COUPLE OF DAYS – So don’t delay! 🙂

Applications will NOT be counted until the completed app AND the fee is returned. These can be taken up by the contacts above. Slots are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Again, cost is $35 and includes all activities, events, and lunches.

2017 2nd Annual Summer Survivor Camp

  • Dates are June 5 – 9, 2017
  • This is an weeklong, overnight camp.
  • Camp is open to Lee County students entering 7th through 9th grades in August of 2017.
  • Cost is $100 and covers all meals, lodging, activities, and supplies for the week. (grants are available on an individual basis)
  • Priority consideration will be given to attendees or volunteer high school students who have attended camp last year.
  • Applications will be accepted until March 30th.
  • UNLIKE day camps, this is not a first-come, first-served event. All applications will be considered and we will accept 40 students. Those accepted will be notified within 2 weeks of application cut off date.
