On May 1, 2015, it was reported to Lee County 911 that a black male entered the Renasant Bank on Raymond Street in Verona and robbed it. Lee County deputies and Verona officers arrived and secured the scene at the bank. Information was gathered along with the surveillance video of the incident.

It was reported that the male subject came inside the bank, stood around and went to a teller window and handed the teller a note. The note demanded money and mentioned a weapon. The suspect took the money and left the bank through the north exit door.

The media arrived on the scene and the basic information about the robber was issued in a news release, along with a still photo of the robber.

On May 2, we received several tips about the identity of the suspect.

Charge: Robbery
Bond: None
Prior arrests consist of Aggravated Assault with weapon, Possession of Firearm, Criminal Attempt Murder, Robbery by Force and Distribution of Drugs.
