On July 23, a report was filed with the Lee County Sheriff’s Department of a home burglary and auto theft in the Mooreville area. The victim reported that someone had broken into the residence and took their vehicle keys and then stole a Jeep Cherokee. Numerous times over A two day period, calls came in about the stolen vehicle being sighted. Each time the vehicle would be gone upon arrival of deputies. On July 26, an unknown caller called 911 and stated that the vehicle was spotted around the Sprint Mart on Veterans in Tupelo. Deputies responded and spotted the stolen vehicle. The suspects then rammed a gate and went down a muddy logging road. The stolen vehicle became stuck and the two suspects ran on foot. A few hours later a Lee County resident called and stated that two white males had come to his house asking for water. That resident called 911 and deputies responded and found the two suspects that had fled. Both were taken into custody without incident.

Charge: burglary and Felony taking of Vehicle (grand larceny)
Nance is currently on MDOC probation for burglary and taking of a vehicle.
